Girl's Night Out!!!

Wow....where do we even begin? Girl's Night Out was on Saturday night and I think it is safe to say that it was a success. It really was a fun evening had by all...we had lots of people say that they just loved it and the atmosphere was just very light-hearted and fun. All of the planning and preparations were definately worth it!

(Talia, Janet and Kim...we had so much fun together this weekend!)

(the GNO "team": Karly, Winter, Janna, Talia, Mikeheila, Janet, Jen and Kim!)

It was so much fun to set up and decorate! We went a bit crazy with our pink and orange theme...from the table cloths, to the goodie bags, to the giveaway table's hanging flowers, the nametags, the bulletin board, the candy centerpieces...everything! I loved the effect when you first walked into the room. We even set up a table at the back of the room with mine and Kim's work displayed. I always love seeing people's scrapbooking projects, so we thought we'd share some of our stuff. And a fun little surprise was Heidi's banners from CHA that Janet brought along with her. They looked so awesome up on the wall. Thanks, Heidi and Janet!

Honestly, the evening was just so fabulous and so much fun! Kim and I were just so excited to see it all come together. It went so smoothly, and we were especially excited to be able to chat and hang out with everyone that came. Talk about an evening with a bunch of girls! Hehe!

Once again, thank you so much to everyone that was there and to all those who helped make this happen. It was a dream come true for us...maybe we'll do this again next year??!!? For now, we'll be getting things going over at the Goodie Box again starting in April...our 1 year anniversary!

Please let us know what you thought of the event, we value every one's constructive criticism and positive feedback. We will have a handful of kits available for you to buy for those who are interested. We'll post more info on that later this week.

For now, we are off and we'll be back again soon!

The Goodie Bags!

What would a Goodie Box event be without Goodie Bags? This is what everyone got on their tables after they registered. We were so happy with how the goodie bags came together...awesome donations from our local stores! Each person also got a Scrapbook Trends magazine and then we added a little "bonus" idea for them to take home with them. We found these awesome felt chandeliers at Michael's after Christmas and knew they'd be perfect for the goodie bags. (I wish I bought more! I want some extras to play with!!)

Retail Value of the Goodie Bags (magazine included): $45

Bonus Project!

One thing that we really wanted for Girl's Night Out was a "bonus" project...something fun and easy for people to work on and bring home along with all of their other stuff! We designed this card kit so that students could use supplies left over from their other projects on their cards, as well as the supplies that were provided for them in the kit. We chose these Amy Butler card packs...the colors and design were just so fun and fresh, we couldn't resist!

Retail Value of Bonus Kit: $15

Kim & Talia's Project!

For our project, Kim and I designed this cute circle album in a jar! We love circles and clear elements, so we wanted to do something that would combine the two. These Ikea jars were what made it rock...when we were designing this I think we said "This is so cute!" about a bazillion times. Haha!! Anyways, it was lots of fun to teach and the kits were awesome. I know everyone went home with just tons of "left-overs" which is always fun. We even had holes drilled in the lids of the jars so that the album would attach right to the lid...LOVED that. Thanks to everyone who did this with us, we hope it was worth the wait!

The whole evening was just so rewarding. One lady came up to us at the end with her completed jar album and told us that this was the first project she had ever actually finished...she was just so excited. How cool is that? Again, it was fun to see people add their own flair to their projects and so many went home with their stuff completed. Made Kim and I so happy!!

Retail Value of Kim and Talia's Project: $40

More pictures to come!!

Janet's Project!

Well, it's Monday morning and time to spill the beans on everything that went on at Girl's Night Out! We'll start off with Janet's project. She designed this totally cute shadowbox with a mini album that you can store inside....SO CUTE!! Janet is just an amazing teacher and everyone had so much fun in her class. We were thrilled that she designed this project especially for GNO and she used all BRAND NEW product...stuff that isn't even in the stores yet! So this was a really exclusive class. I love the dangling butterfly element on the left side of the box. Just so so cute!

Retail Value of Janet's Kit: $40

It was so fun to see people's reactions to her project and to see everyone work away and put their own spin on things. Hope you all had fun!!!

a sincere thank you...

We just wanted to say a big "Thank You" to all those who made Girl's Night Out a success.

To the amazing Janet Hopkins for taking time away from her family and busy life to teach us a one-of-kind project that was just too cute for words. Her warmth and fun personality put everyone at ease!

To all of our volunteers...Karly Higginbotham, Janna Henke, Jenn Yakymishen, Winter Higginbotham and Mikeheila Henke...we truly couldn't have done this without you girls!! Thank you so much for being so helpful, supportive, and for letting us boss you around! We know you all have busy lives and appreciate the time you put into our event.

To all of our sponsors who without you, we wouldn't have been able to create such amazing projects, and give away such cute prizes. The Urban Scrapbook, Treasured Memories, Heidi Swapp (Advantus), American Crafts, Scrapbook Diva's, Letters by Janna and Pictures Never Forget...you rock! Thank you so much for your support and donations.

To our sweet husbands, Graham and Cody, who put up with MORE than you could ever imagine!!! Thanks guys for supporting us and helping us and takin' care of the kiddies when we needed you to! We love you boys!

And most of all, thank you so very much to all of our Girl's Night Out Attendee's. Thank you for taking a chance on us and coming to our little event! We had so much fun meeting you all and we hope you felt like you had a "night out"....especially for you. We love ya!!!
